In 1977 Southwest Computer Supplies was incorporated by David Copeland. The company was originally formed to supply computer-related consumables to many of Houston’s largest companies. Items such as printer cartridges, paper, diskettes and data tapes. The products we sold in the 70s & 80s would belong in a museum today! Towards the late eighties it became apparent that the large retail distributors would swallow up this ever tightening market.During the early 90s Southwest transitioned into a multi-vendor service parts business. Epson was one of our first lines of service parts. Because of our proximity to their world headquarters, as well as the awareness that they would be a leader in the PC industry, we began specializing in Compaq service parts in 1995.
